Days 041- 060

Project 365-2015: Day 060 – Stand and fight, you Jedi scum!
The title of today’s photo comes from what I heard Jericho shouting at Soren, as Soren took to his heels and bolted away from him…the ‘Jedi scum’ fought valiantly, but the dark overlord Jericho eventually triumphed.

Project 365-2015: Day 059 – Fluffy Little Houseguest.
Luna’s second best dog friend from school is having a sleepover tonight. His name is Murphy, and since his humans have gone away for the weekend we were happy to offer him a bed! He’s a toy poodle so he’s smaller than Luna – really just a tiny bundle of fluff. It’s so sweet and funny to watch them playing together!
Although he’s got a bit more pep than Luna, the laziest dog in the world…she’s going to be exhausted by the time he goes home.

Project 365-2015: Day 058 – Thirteen.
My first baby turned thirteen today. Happy birthday Little Bear!

Project 365-2015: Day 057 – Yum.
I taught this morning, and I always think I deserve a treat after that. (Okay, it doesn’t take much for me to think I deserve a treat at anytime!) So I had a batman bowl full of M&M mix-ups and they were delicious.

Project 365-2015: Day 55 – Evil Drives a School Bus.
Sometimes the kids’ games really crack me up. I walked into the living room this morning to see Darth Vadar driving the cheerful Little People yellow schoolbus, with Senator Palpatine in the back seat. I guess even the villains need to get around somehow, and the good guys have taken over the Little People pink car and aeroplane.

Project 365-2015: Day 54 – When the other photos don’t work.
Yeah, well the title really says it today. This was basically the only photo I got that was in focus, because the main lens I use on my camera decided that it didn’t know how to focus anymore. This photo happened when I was fiddling with it in the car and trying to see if it would focus on anything…apparently yes, it would focus on my camera bag, but to heck with anything else!

Project 365-2015: Day 053 – Arachnid.
I found this little guy out on the back deck, and he definitely did NOT want to be part of my project 365. He tried to run away, and then when he stopped and I crouched down to take his photo he ran right AT me, waving his fangs and legs and everything. I screamed and went to jump up and jump back, but I banged into the punching bag and just bounced right back towards him and then fell over trying to get away!
So yeah, not the best photo after all that! But you can still see all the shiny eyes and the striped legs, and it was the best I had so here it is.

Day 052 – Sunburst.

Project 365-2015: Day 051 – The Animal Whisperer.
Jericho has always had an affinity with animals, and this little baby that I made friends with the other day is no exception! As you can see, he was very keen to get to know Jericho and to show him his affection!
And just because it’s funny- this is the next photo on the card. Jericho was slightly less thrilled with the calf kisses.

Project 365-2015: Day 050 – Today.
It felt like a lot of driving today, although it probably wasn’t anything exceptional. I drove to school, then to the next town for petrol, home again, school again, home again, Emma’s MAT class, and home again. I don’t mind it though, I just plug my phone in to the stereo and listen to my music and look for pretty and interesting things around me.

Project 365-2015: Day 049 – Little Buddy.
Look at this beautiful baby I met today! I saw him (and his little brown and white friend) in a paddock as I drove to school, and they were so adorable that I had to stop and go and take their picture for my project. I thought they’d be shy, but they were absolutely not- as soon as I approached them (going really slowly so as not to scare them away) they came trotting over to the fence to say hi. Not only say hi, they kept pushing their heads through the fence and trying to suck on my hands and t-shirt and camera strap. They were so sweet I couldn’t resist, so I spent longer than I should have scratching them behind their ears and letting them suck on my fingers. Such a lovely moment in my day!

Project 365-2015: Day 048 – The Legend of Hercules, as told by Jericho.
As I thought it might, watching The Legend of Hercules on dvd the other week really did make an impression on Jericho. He built a Lego gladiatorial arena last week and then today he had out his castle and knights and soldiers and was enacting more of Hercules adventures. In this photo you can see Hercules leaving the arena and strutting away to freedom, with the legions of the vanquished lying down behind him.
The child really does make me laugh sometimes.

Project 365-2015: Day 047 – Unexpected.
I took this one without meaning to really, but then I kind of liked the way it turned out. Just the weird colour of the sky, and the sun, and all the tiny little branches and twigs outlined against it.

Project 365-2015: Day 046 – Dinnertime.
More Godzilla today. Here he is cleaning up his bowl after I fed him some dog food. So far dog food is the only thing he eats with gusto, grapes are eaten if there’s nothing else and he gets hungry enough, and nothing else seems to tempt him at all.
I love this picture because of his tongue, and because of his little stumpy arm holding him up on the side, and because it really shows how smooth and shiny his scaly skin really is.

Project 365-2015: Day 045 – Rain.
Some beautiful raindrops! We finally had a good downpour last night. The rain will be so good for the plants, and it left all this sparkly raindrop prettiness behind.

Project 365-2015: Day 044 – Tiny Warrior.
I love taking photos of spiders, and I was so happy when I found this one today! I found the spider on the seedpod thing (which was pretty extraordinary in itself actually, I don’t know what it comes from) and took some photos of her. Initially she was all crouched up defensively, but then she decided to do a bit of fight-then-flight and came running down. I love that I can see her shiny black eyes and she’s waving her legs around so angrily! I also love that the raised back leg is still touching the thread of silk that she used to let herself down.

Project 365-2015: day 043 – School pick-up drive.
Another hot summer day, another photo on the way to school… I like pictures of roads. Even this road, which I drive multiple times a day, doesn’t really get boring to me. I also like the way the clouds are in this picture, striped across the sky.

Project 365-2015: day 042 – Nemesis.
I took this dopey photo of Nemesis the cat this morning. He was snoozing on the old barbecue so I thought I’d take a nice sleepy cat photo, but as soon as he saw me he started rolling around and basically posing for the camera…it was hilarious. It was also very hot and the sun was bright, so although he was in the shade he was looking out into the light and that’s why his pupils are almost nonexistent.

Day 041 – Rawwrrr.
Possibly Emma’s favourite Shleich figures, her three baby tigers. Which I took a photo of today because I had just been talking about them with Ellen, since her kids play with them too.
