Days 221 – 240

Project 365-2015: Day 239 – Adorable!
Shitty photo of a cute thing today, but I took it on my phone in the rain, so it was the best I could do under the circumstances. This little sweetie is named Staples, and he has spent the past two days in a little pen in our schoolyard, since he’s being bottlefed by Jericho’s teacher.

Project 365-2015: Day 238 – Green
This is one of the succulents I have growing on the windowsill in my study. Just in the past day or two it has suddenly sprouted these little green flowers- or at least that’s what they look like. Very cute and very green!

Project 365-2015: Day 237 – First
The first sprig of flowers on the bush out the front – it’s so pretty with the pink lines and blush on the petals. It’s also kind of strange to just have this one bit sticking up out of the bush all flowery, when the rest of it has nothing at all!

Project 365-2015: Day 236 – Animation Studio.
Here’s Jericho, hard at work on his latest stop-motion animation. It’s one of his (and Soren’s) favourite things to do and they are making up some really creative little stories about their toys’ adventures.

Project 365-2015: Day 235 – Stranded.
It’s a lovely view, isn’t it? I have to admit that I couldn’t really appreciate it though, since it was all we had to look at for the three hours we were stranded on the side of the road after the car broke down!

Project 365-2015: Day 234 – Daffodil
They finally grew! The daffodil bulbs that we planted and that I’d just about given up on have finally started flowering. Unfortunately where we planted them is somewhere the dogs go crashing through on a regular basis, so most of the daffodil flowers are lying all bent and crumpled. However the few standing up still look lovely, and mostly I’m just pleased that they grew at all.

Project 365-3015: Day 233 – The Bees are Back
Not the clearest bee photo I’ve ever taken, but I love the way it looks like he’s sucking up pollen through a straw or something. The fact that I could take a bee photo at all means that spring is definitely well on the way.

Project 365-2015: Day 232 – After Work
I really like my job, but I also like when it’s over and I can  go home relieved that I’ve avoided disaster for another week! I took this one after work today at the top of the school driveway, just looking out on a beautiful valley day.

Project 365-2015: Day 231 – Look to the Sun
I love the way these flowers all seemed to be stretching out towards the sun, which we finally saw a bit of today. These ones are such a pretty pink too, and looked lovely in Nana’s garden.

Project 365-2015: Day 230 – Playtime
A pretty uninspiring day today, and this was all I had- Soren and Jericho planning some military campaign throughout the loungeroom. I do love the way Luna is just sitting there inspecting the troops though.

Project 365-2015: Day 229 – Rainy day

Project 365-2015: Day 228 – The stockings were hung by the chimney with care…
Well, not exactly! I crocheted this little stocking just to test out the pattern and see how big the finished product would be/ how easy it was to make/ how cute it looked in reality. It wins on all counts, so at some point between now and the first of December I need to crochet 23 more of them so I can make us a new advent calendar. We need to replace the one that broke last year, which I made when I was 16 so it really had lasted a long time. This crocheted stocking advent calendar is going to be adorable.

Project 365-2015: Day 227 – Jericho.

Project 365-2015: Day 226 – Driving to School.
There were several balloons up this morning, most of them on the way down while we were driving to school. It was a very still morning though, so they seemed to be landing in awkward places, like down at the pond and right next to this shed.

Project 365-2015: Day 225 – Nice to meet you.
Cute little smile, isn’t it? This is Franklin, one of the pets in Soren’s classroom and he was quite happy to have me take his photo today. He just swam along looking at the camera and smiling his little turtle smile.

Project 365-2015: Day 224 – Red
Something a bit different today- was playing with some food colouring in water and got this. Looks kind of abstract and weird, but I love the way it looks all smoky and folding and billowing.

Project 365-2015: Day 223 – Brothers.
I love this photo. I took it this evening, when all the kids were sitting on the couch waiting for Mythbusters to come on. They all said they’d smile for me…and then this happened. It’s very much the way of things in our house at the moment!

Project 365-2015: Day 222 – Down at the Lake
I took this one with my phone today, while I was walking the dog around the lake. It was cold and windy, but there was also some beautiful sunshine to remind me that spring is just around the corner.

Project 365-2015: Day 221 – Purple
I don’t know what these little blooms are, but they’re growing on Steve and Jean’s fence and they’re a beautiful purple colour. I also love the way when you look at them close up, they look like little faces with moustaches.
